Abstract. The paper attempts to establish a content of the Stoic philosophy which is relevant to modern philosophical anthropology. For this purpose has been distinguished three parts of stoic anthropology – substantive, procedural and normative. Substantive part is contained the positive knowledge on the man. Normative part of Stoic anthropology is included desirable image of man. And procedural part is embraced the methods and mechanisms of transition from what we have in substantial part to the fact that the established by normative part. After considering all the three parts of the Stoic anthropology, the author came to the conclusion that contemporary philosophers have no interests for the substantial part, but the procedural part to attract high attention. The interest to procedural part could be explained by the fact that it is a non-essentialism approach in anthropology. At the same time if we will not take into account the normative part, the significance of procedural part will be lost.
