Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of constructing the author’s concept within the framework of creating a philosophical autobiographical discourse. A distinction is made between the author as a physical individual, the author as a conceptual character, the bearer of philosophical discourse, and the author as a literary character, a hero created by the latter. The idea developed by M. M. Bakhtin that the author actually acts as an event point at the time of the author’s statement, in contrast to the conceptual and literary character recorded in the texts, is being developed. From this point of view, the conclusion to which R. Bart and M. Foucault, each in their own way, proposing the thesis of the "death of the author" is problematized. As a result, the work proposes a conceptual topological configurator showing a variety of genres of anthropological discourse. The topic is based on a frame-cross in which the limits are distinguished - horizontal: personal, private in human life and external objective, human involvement in the historical process; vertical: the upper horizon (life is normal) and the lower level, underground (lifting the norm). The article also introduced certain rules, principles by which a philosophical autobiographical discourse is created that distinguishes it from others.
Keywords: philosophical autobiography, author, anthropology of autobiography, “death of the author”, metamorphosis of the author, topic of autobiography, navigation.
