Abstract. The article shows the relationship between the phenomenon of mass art and the influence on it of digital and communication technologies. The author concludes that in view of the introduction of mass character of art and artistic practice in modern technology there is a transformation of the artist-figure of the author, and the rejection of ideals and models, in whose name the classical art was created. Instead, the author and the person in the art, more and more there is a meme, nickname, and instead of the proclamation of the ideals of goodness and beauty of mass art are increasingly putting tasks aimed at the audience entertainment, turning it into a consumer.
